Fun in the Fall…
First of all, THANK YOU to everyone who reads my blog. I get so excited when someone comments and tells me how proud they are of me. (I know… I’m SUCH a ham that way!) I STILL hate cameras though; something about flashes in my past scared me and I just shake at the sight of a camera.
Today I entertained my Mom and Dad by instigating a play session with my little sister, Somerset. All I have to do is lift my paw and bang her on the head to get things started. We gently wrestled each other for about 10 minutes while Mom took a break from work.
The rainy weather gets me down (I just CANNOT pee when it’s raining!), but today was a “funner” day. Gotta run now, it’s time for DIN-NER! Happy OCTOBER my friends!!

About Me
WOOF! My name is Sondra. I am a miniature-Schnauzer who is a survivor of a commercial breeding facility that was located somewhere in eastern Pennsylvania.
I was adopted from Animal Friends (Pittsburgh) on April 3, 2010. The shelter (and my vet) think I am around 10 years old (based on the wear and health of my teeth).
My current owners only had me in foster care for 2 weeks before I got into their hearts (hee hee) and they adopted me! YAY for me!
My new sister is Sparkle, also a miniature-Schnauzer! She’s in much better physical condition than I am, but I am planning to lose some weight (so I can keep up with her on walks!). I am most energetic first thing in the morning after I had a good night’s sleep!
P.S. I am a proud member of the Red Collar Society!

Hi there Sondra!! Janey just wanted to say HI!! We are both proud of you and how far you have come in your forever home. You have an awesome Mom and Dad!! If its raining or the grass is even a little wet, Janey does not like it at all. She will pee as fast as she can and runs back to the door!!

I am soooo very proud of you little girl! I know I have said it a million times but I really really am. And to know that you can now enjoy “real dog” things like wrestling with your sister just warms my heart.
Clover has a hard time with the rain too. I can usually get her to pee if I hold an umbrella for her but she won’t poop – no way no how !

Hi Sondra, My Schnauzer, Snicker, hates cameras too. Maybe its a Schnauzer thing! She hates the clicking sound.
I can just picture you banging your little sister on the head and I am soooo happy for you to be in such a wonderful home. You were not a happy girl at the shelter.
I can’t pee when it’s raining either….don’t know what it is. Just wanna climb in my bed and sleep.
Hope to see you some day. Tell Mom to give you an extra treat from me. I’m so proud of you!
